Todd Sawisch, DDS

Dr. Sawisch is a Board Certified Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon.  He holds diplomate status in the National Dental Board of Anesthesiology.  Dr. Sawisch completed his undergraduate training and earned a Bachelor of Science at Michigan State University. He then earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery at the University of Detroit Mercy, School of Dentistry. He completed a surgical residency program in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at University of Miami School of Medicine’s prestigious Jackson Memorial Hospital.

During his residency, Dr. Sawisch spent four vigorous years with world-renowned surgeons in the specialty of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery: Dr. Robert Marx, Dr. Stuart Kline, and Dr. Eric Carlson. The training Dr. Sawisch received focused on head and neck cancer, tumor surgery, and reconstruction of severe facial deformities secondary to disease and facial trauma. Dr. Sawisch has extensive training in implant dentistry using platelet-rich plasma (PRP) with advanced bone grafting procedures to aid in dental implant reconstruction. Dr. Sawisch was awarded the “Outstanding Surgical Skills Award” by the surgical faculty upon graduation.

Dr. Todd Sawisch is an active member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.  He is currently licensed to practice in the states of Florida and Texas. He holds privileges to operate and covers emergency call at Holy Cross Hospital in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Dr. Sawisch is Voluntary Associate Professor of Surgery at the University of Miami, School of Medicine, teaching the latest techniques in implant dentistry. 

Dr. Sawisch provides courses in cooperation with DEKA Lasers on the latest techniques on laser implant dentistry.

Avi Schetritt, DMD

Dr. Avi Schetritt or Dr. “Avi” as he likes to be called is a Board Certified Periodontist and will be providing all aspects of implant and periodontal therapy.

Dr. Schetritt grew up in Montreal Canada and started his university training by completing a Bachelor of Science Degree from McGill University.  He then went on to obtain a dental degree (DMD) from the University of Montreal.  Following two years in private practice as a general dentist Dr. Avi returned to school and received his Post Graduate Periodontal training from the University of British Columbia in Vancouver Canada.

Dr. Avi has been providing outstanding implant and periodontal treatment in South Florida since moving here in 2000.  He lectures nationally and internationally on soft tissue regeneration around teeth and implants, and has authored several articles on this subject.  Dr. Avi is a nationally recognized speaker who has earned a well respected reputation.
 

Jennifer Schaumberg, DDS

Dr. Jennifer Schaumberg is a Board Certified Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon.  She pursued her undergraduate studies at the University of Michigan and there continued into University of Michigan dental school. She completed both her internship and residency training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, Florida, which is known internationally as a center for research and education specifically in the fields of craniofacial trauma, tumor and reconstructive surgery. In addition to her education in dentoalveolar, orthognathic surgery and dental implants, Dr. Schaumberg brings to our practice, advanced dental implant surgery and grafting procedures.

Pam Odze, RDH
